How to Make Your Own Calendula-Infused Oil

Much of the skin-repairing properties of calendula can be attributed to its high levels of oil-soluble carotenoids and sterols, which help produce collagen and plump up skin. Discover this bright flower’s beauty benefits yourself with this easy DIY infused oil recipe:

  1. Fill a glass jar with dried and crumbled calendula petals.
  2. Cover them by an inch with a carrier oil, such as olive, almond, jojoba, or sunflower oil.
  3. Place the jar in a sunny spot for two or more weeks, shaking at least once per day to help extract the flowers’ healing properties.
  4. Drain petals from the oil and apply to skin as needed.
